A BETTER LIFE STARTS WITH YOUR THOUGHT.

An image showing how your life improves with positive thinking

"Once you start to replace negative
thoughts with positive ones,
you'll start having positive results"
- Willie Nelson

The mind is the imagining faculty of every human, where you think, feel and choose.

When you think, feel, and choose, you create, and this creation is a thought.

YOUR  LIFE IS A REFLECTION OF YOUR THOUGHT.

Every thought that enters your mind has the potential to change how you feel, how you see the world, your reactions and what actions you choose to take, and all these form your Identity.

Your thought patterns and behaviors are formed by what enters your mind through the ear gate, mouth gate and eye gate.
It is very important to guard these gates by being careful about what you ear, what you say and what you see.

WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR THOUGHT PATTERN?

Your early years are where you learn a lot of your thought patterns. While some people are fortunate to have had a good experience, the majority frequently encounter negative messages.

Words and suggestions like "you can't," "don't do it," "you're wicked," "you're silly," and "no" that are critical, disempowering, and deconstructive, have contributed to feelings of insecurity, self-blame, and low self-esteem.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS ABOUT YOURSELF?

The patterns of thoughts about yourself are a result of events that have occurred over the years and the resultant beliefs you have acquired.

You will usually accept what is told to you by your parents, siblings, teachers, peers, and the media. One thought will lead to a stream of others, and the tone of these ideas will result in how you feel and act.

Reflecting, have your thoughts been positive or negative?

Bringing these thoughts into your awareness will allow you to notice them, and replace any detrimental ones.

WHAT TO DO ABOUT YOUR THOUGHT LIFE?

The first step to reprogram your mind is to be conscious of your thoughts. If you find yourself thinking “Life is hard,” notice what you’re thinking, reflect and choose another thought to replace it.

If you change your thoughts, you can form new pathways in the mind which may, in turn, change your experience of life.

HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR THOUGHT LIFE

Heal from the past:

Forgiveness is one of the most important healing processes.

Negative feelings about the past, present or future just block the flow of positive energy within you. They disturb your peace and hinder your progress towards contentment. Positive energy needs to be free flowing to enable it to improve your life. It is essential for your wellbeing to leave hurt feelings and resentment behind.

By forgiving, you are neutralising any ill feeling towards that person to the state where they do not have the ability or power to disturb your peace of mind. You can wish them well and move on with your life. It will set you free from the attachment you had with that person through the negativity that you have held.

Talk positive to yourself and your situation:

Your deeper mind will trust everything you tell yourself as being true, without any reasoning or questioning, whether it is positive or negative.

Your talks should be inspirational, healing and nurturing; “I can do it”, “I will succeed”, “I have it”, “I am lovely”, “I am qualified for the job”.

Positive self-talk isn’t ignoring the negative or unpleasant aspects of life. Instead, it’s flipping the narrative so that you can approach these issues in a more positive and productive way.

It makes you feel good about yourself. It can encourage and motivate you to keep going, look on the “bright side,” and put things into perspective.

For example, if you made a mistake at work, that might trigger a past experience where you were reprimanded for the error. You then explain internally, “I can’t believe I did that! I’m so stupid and will pay for that later!” Instead, try telling yourself, “Tomorrow is a chance to try again, with the lessons learned from today.”

Practice gratitude:

Regardless if you keep a gratitude journal or just have a mental checklist, finding the things that you’re grateful for can improve your attitude. This will eventually lead to improved self-talk since you’re focusing on the good things that you have in your life, as opposed to what you don’t.

Don’t give negative people power over how you feel:

By giving your power over to other people, this allows them to irritate you or disturb your sense of peace. You can take that power back as it belongs to you.

You may have people in your life, who are unable to process their emotions in an effective manner. They tend to express their negativity towards others people. Poor thinking becomes a way of life.

Your response towards them determines how they will affect you.

By acknowledging this, you can question and adjust your reactions towards other people. It puts you back in charge of your feelings.

Find an anchor:

When our thoughts are wavering, we should all have something to believe in. Whether you have someone close who grounds you, or have a spiritual connection with a higher power—hold onto it. When external factors try to weigh you down, your anchor will help you ground yourself.

BOTTOM LINE:

Your life is shaped by your thoughts. But, you can use this to your advantage. Changing your mindset is not easy, but it is possible. By working on improving your thoughts, you will get to know yourself on a deeper level and improve your quality of life.

FOCUS ON THE GOOD

When you focus on the good, the good gets better.   —Abraham Hicks  Today, I woke up with feelings of inadequacy and how I could be doing so much better with my life. I’ve been ill for the past few days and just being in bed at the start of the new year sent a wave of depression  Business is slow, plans are not being pushed into the next call of action  On and on, I engaged my thoughts on things that that caused me to worry  Soon enough, a little thought stroke my mind, "how about all the good, where did you push them to?"  Then, I realised how we can have a train of good events and  just one negative event can hijack our minds and we lose sight of all the positives. This is usually as a result of our brain's negative bias; the tendency to focus more on the negative. We need to overcome this, to have a healthy mind and life. HERE ARE A FEW TIPS ON HOW TO DO THAT: Pay Attention To Your Thoughts: The only way to be aware of your tho...

HAVING THE ABUNDANCE MINDSET

The influence of money on our lives is strong. It can help us to fulfill our aspirations, support our families, and live the lives we choose. But our potential to succeed financially can be significantly impacted by the way we see money. To be honest, if you’re not born into wealth, there might be some limitations in creating wealth because of how you perceive it.  That’s why I need you to relax your mind and follow through this post with an open mind. In this post, we'll explore why believing in abundance is key to experiencing abundance- and how you can shift your mindset to a more positive one. THE SCARCITY MINDSET The scarcity mindset is the belief that there's a limited amount of money in the world and that it's hard to come by. People with this mindset often feel like they have to compete with others for resources and that there's never enough to go around. This can lead to feelings of fear, anxiety, and stress when it comes to money. THE ABUNDANCE MINDS...
