TRUST THE PROCESS

  1. “Whatever this unknown path has before you, trust the process.” — Lalah Delia

When you are starting a business or pursuing a creative ambition or passion, It won't always be smooth sailing, you need to trust the process.

Trusting the process means while you aren’t exactly where you imagined being, you are working your way there- showing up always.

It means that even if things may look bad in the current path, it’s not your final destination.

Story time:

I downloaded this movie last month, the storyline caught my attention- I started to watch it, and the first couple of scenes were boring to me. There and then I regretted dowloading it.

I left it and re-watched some other movies I found interesting - I soon got tired seeing some scenes over.

I went back to the movie I abandoned and continued watching it. Well, like they say about some movies, the magic is in the middle- I still can’t believe it was the best movie I saw the previous month.

On the fifth scene, I was stuck, awestruck by the amazing story line and I was just happy I got to watch such a thrilling movie.

I’ve had different experiences where I learnt to trust the process and not get frantic about things not happening the way I expected- but this hit more.

WHAT I'VE REALISED ABOUT TRUSTING THE PROCESS:

  • You get to have peace of mind

Most times, we become agitated when we can’t seem to have control over certain situations in our life. But, you need to realize that you can never be in complete control. You can only but try, and when you have done that, relax and trust the process.

  • You will embrace change better

Change is the one thing in our life that we can’t avoid. And although, we are aware of this, we shy away from the thought of it.

Trusting the process,  you know that change is constant, and you get to see it as an opportunity to improve and learn new things- you are able to accept and adapt to the changes that happen.

  • You’ll be more resilient

You know that no condition is permanent. You’ve been through so many tough times, and if you can reflect, you know no situation is permanent.

Resilience becomes a part of your character, you won’t give in to pressure from thinking obsessively about the situations you can’t control because you know it won't last- and by that you’re building strength to endure and see things through.

  • It leads you to your purpose

It may seem cliché, but what’s meant for you will find a way in your life eventually.

Trust and believe everything you're going through is preparing you towards achieving your purpose.

God has a plan for your life and he promise you an expected end, which is good and of peace (Jer 29:11)

  • It will help you practice gratitude

Trusting the process helps you to let go and learn to be grateful for what you already have and where you currently are- contentment sprouts and forms bliss in your heart.

Count your blessings and realise how happy you can be.

  •  It will help you to grow:

You’ve come this far because you’ve grown through even the most painful experiences. Life schooled and tested- you've learned and that has made you to grow.

Tough times don’t last because you’ll grow tougher and the things that once tortured you can’t, anymore.

HOW TO TRUST THE PROCESS IN LIFE:

  • Focus on what you can control

It’s important to understand what we should be focusing our energy on- and that should be on what we can control. What we can control, most importantly, is showing up.

As an example- If you’re planning to sell a real estate property, you shouldn't spend all the time focusing on the money you want to get. This does nothing, really. What matters is to consistently focus on marketing, targeting and finding the right clients and putting the time into improving your interpersonal skills.

You can’t control how many properties your client decides to buy, but you can control how you can convince them and make the purchases possible- do the work and the results will handle themselves

Hold the Vision...drop the excuses...remember your why. Swerve around obstacles...trust the process. Happiness and success will find you.

- Karen Salmansohn.

  • Enjoy the process

As humans, we're naturally anxious and impatient which makes trusting the process quite difficult.

The easiest way to enjoy the process is through the Flow concept. Although, this might be unsettling for some people, learn to go with the flow. Let go of the need to always have control.

You’ve enjoyed some amazing turnouts in your life because you trusted the process- be it relationship, career or something else entirely, so learn to enjoy the process.

  • Embrace failure

Failure is inevitable.

If you’ve never failed, it’s because you’ve never attempted anything big. Embrace your failure, we often learn our best lessons from it.

That you failed isn’t enough reason to give up.  You have a purpose, follow it through.

  • Commit to your goals

'Little drops of water makes a mighty ocean'

Keep keeping at it -  make efforts everyday to get closer to your goals, and you'll have more sense of purpose and personal satisfaction.

Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is often more important than the outcome. – Arthur Ashe

FINALLY,

It might be uneasy to let go and trust the process, but if you do it, you'll have a liberating experience.

You don’t know how greatly people are interested in your ‘behind the scenes’ story. Fall and rise as many times as possible, don't give up.

Trust the process- as you take yourself closer to exactly where you’re meant to be.

Thank you for reading😊.

Have you had any experience about trusting the process? Let me know!

FOCUS ON THE GOOD

When you focus on the good, the good gets better.   —Abraham Hicks  Today, I woke up with feelings of inadequacy and how I could be doing so much better with my life. I’ve been ill for the past few days and just being in bed at the start of the new year sent a wave of depression  Business is slow, plans are not being pushed into the next call of action  On and on, I engaged my thoughts on things that that caused me to worry  Soon enough, a little thought stroke my mind, "how about all the good, where did you push them to?"  Then, I realised how we can have a train of good events and  just one negative event can hijack our minds and we lose sight of all the positives. This is usually as a result of our brain's negative bias; the tendency to focus more on the negative. We need to overcome this, to have a healthy mind and life. HERE ARE A FEW TIPS ON HOW TO DO THAT: Pay Attention To Your Thoughts: The only way to be aware of your tho...

A BETTER LIFE STARTS WITH YOUR THOUGHT.

"Once you start to replace negative thoughts  with positive ones, you'll start having positive results" - Willie Nelson   The mind is the imagining faculty of every human, where you think, feel and choose. When you think, feel, and choose, you create, and this creation is a thought. YOUR   LIFE IS A REFLECTION OF YOUR THOUGHT. Every thought that enters your mind has the potential to change how you feel, how you see the world, your reactions and what actions you choose to take, and all these form your Identity. Your thought patterns and behaviors are formed by what enters your mind through the ear gate, mouth gate and eye gate. It is very important to guard these gates by being careful about what you ear, what you say and what you see. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR THOUGHT PATTERN? Your early years are where you learn a lot of your thought patterns. While some people are fortunate to have had a good experience, the majority frequently encounter negative messages....

HAVING THE ABUNDANCE MINDSET

The influence of money on our lives is strong. It can help us to fulfill our aspirations, support our families, and live the lives we choose. But our potential to succeed financially can be significantly impacted by the way we see money. To be honest, if you’re not born into wealth, there might be some limitations in creating wealth because of how you perceive it.  That’s why I need you to relax your mind and follow through this post with an open mind. In this post, we'll explore why believing in abundance is key to experiencing abundance- and how you can shift your mindset to a more positive one. THE SCARCITY MINDSET The scarcity mindset is the belief that there's a limited amount of money in the world and that it's hard to come by. People with this mindset often feel like they have to compete with others for resources and that there's never enough to go around. This can lead to feelings of fear, anxiety, and stress when it comes to money. THE ABUNDANCE MINDS...
